Club Bullwinkle won the Qld Teams Championship for the third year running, bamboozling themselves and others as Teams Thompson and Thomson.

Bullwinkle’s first team, captained by (the mostly absent) Sabina Albrecht and Lavinia Poruschi, proved too strong for a reduced field. Bullwinkle’s second team, led by Ben McPhee and Craig Stewart but otherwise comprised of juniors, was particularly impressive in finishing third.

In terms of milestones, Nik Stawski played his 60th rapid game, and Michael Van Pelt his 80th. The club notched its 150th! Sravan Renjith and Jayden Ooi debuted.
